[make money answering surveys]How to earn free vouchers for Amazon, M&S, Tesco and Argos

08-02 20:06

VOUCHERS give you money off at your favourite stores and you can earn them completely free just by answering surveys on websites.

We’ve found ways to get vouchers for retail giants such as Amazon, Argos, Marks and Spencer and Tesco.

We explain how to earn free vouchers by filling out online surveys5We explain how to earn free vouchers by filling out online surveys

Some websites will also reward you in cash, usually credited through PayPal.

But you should note that earning vouchers or money isn’t an instant process.

You’ll usually need to fill out multiple surveys to build up points, which can then be redeemed for a payout.

This means it can sometimes take weeks to earn your voucher or cash, depending on how much time you put in each day.

IF you’re spending money on a gift card, perhaps as a present for a loved one, there are some important points to be aware of:

Check expiry dates: Gift cards usually don’t last forever, so make sure you check when your voucher is due to expire.

Pop a note in your diary so you don’t forget, or if you’re buying one as a gift, flag that date to your loved one.

Check where you can spend them: Some gift cards can only be spent online, and others can only be used in stores.

They’re also not interchangeable which means they can often only be spent in one place.

Check the terms and conditions carefully so you know exactly where you can spend them.

They might become worthless: If a company falls into administration, it’s down to the administrators to decide whether they accept gift cards or not.

The administrators are allowed to stop accepting gift cards at any point.

If the administrators later decide that you can’t use your vouchers, you should register a claim with the administrations for the value of the vouchers.

You’ll also need to sign up to websites to start doing this, so be aware that your inbox may start to fill with alerts for when new surveys are available.

Alice Gerwat, senior content editor at Magic Freebies, told The Sun: “The best way to earn free vouchers is by taking part in surveys.

“There are a number of websites and apps that are easy and free to sign up to.”

Before you make a start, you should note that gift cards and vouchers aren’t interchangeable which means you can only spend them in one place.

They also become worthless if a business goes bust – we explain more in the box above.

What’s available? Amazon, TK Maxx, Tesco and more…

Opinion Outpost is one of many free websites that rewards people – including in Amazon vouchers – for filling out surveys.

Each survey is worth between 10 and 250 points and you’ll typically earn more the longer the survey is.

To claim an Amazon voucher worth £2.50, you need at least 50 points.

This may sound like you’ll build this credit up easily, but surveys aren’t always available everyday and sometimes only pop up once a week.

You’ll need to check back regularly to see when new surveys are ready.

You can also choose to claim PayPal credit through Opinion Outpost, with 100 points needed for £5.

Other survey sites that let you claim Amazon vouchers include Newvista and LifePoints, which we discuss below.

THERE are plenty of vouchers available as rewards on the Opinion Outpost website.

  These include:

  App Store and iTunes

  Amazon

  Argos

  John Lewis

  PayPal (credit)

  TK Maxx

  Tesco

  M&S

  Sainsbury’s

Arcadia Group brands including Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge are also listed, but these are no longer being accepted as ASOS has taken over these brands.

At other Arcadia retailers, including Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton, gift cards can only be used to cover 50% of a purchase.

Evans and Outfit are also Arcadia brands but it’s unclear if these gift cards are still being accepted as both retailers have been sold off.

If you’re an Argos shopper, you may also want to test out Newvista for survey rewards.

On average, Newvista users earn around 100 points for every 15 minutes they spend answering surveys.

Once you reach 5,000?points, you can choose a voucher – including Argos and any of the retailers listed below – worth £50.

You can’t claim any reward until you reach this amount.

But to get you started, you’ll get 500 points (worth £5) added to your account when you join.

Other vouchers that are covered by New Vista include Amazon, B&Q, iTunes and TK Maxx.

ARGOS isn’t the only company Newvista offers vouchers for as rewards for filling out surveys.

  You can also choose from:

  Amazon

  Argos

  B&Q

  Clarks

If you’re a Marks and Spencer fan, another way to claim vouchers is through LifePoints.

The amount you earn per survey varies, with one point up for grabs for one-click answers.

Longer surveys can be worth up to 350 points but they’ll take more time to complete.

For an M&S voucher worth £5, you’ll need 550 points in your account.

Other rewards available through LifePoints include Amazon, ASOS, Uber Eats and Love2Shop vouchers, PayPal credit and Nectar points.

You can see a full list of retailers on the LifePoints website.

M&S vouchers are also available to earn through Newvista, which we’ve mentioned above.

  What’s available? Tesco and more…

Tesco shoppers can earn vouchers through GfK Media View5Tesco shoppers can earn vouchers through GfK Media View

If you’re a telly addict, you can answer questions on TV and radio shows in exchange for points on GfK Media View.

Unlike other survey sites, you use these points to enter prize draws – so it isn’t guarantee that you’ll always get something.

Each prize draw has different rewards and closing dates.

You usually need a minimum of 100 points to enter into any prize draw.

In addition, you’re also entered into separate weekly prize draws based on the amount of surveys you’ve completed that week.

The number of surveys you complete in a week determines if you’ll be entered into a bronze, silver or gold prize draw.

The higher the tier, the better the prizes that are on offer.

GfK says it takes one or two surveys to reach bronze, while you’ll normally need to complete five to seven surveys for the gold tier.

For each TV survey you take, you can earn up to 1,000 points. For radio surveys, the max is 500 points.

Unfortunately, GfK doesn’t list the prizes on offer on its website but Magic Freebies says it is currently giving away £2 Tesco vouchers.
